Walmart Grant
Lindsay Carlson and Miles Erdly wrote a grant to Walmart and received it! Amount is $1,750. One item was to raise a mile of books (5,280 of them). We can start at the BOGO book fair in June. They will be new books.
Open House
PACK supported the decision to follow the same format as last year. This includes scheduling it the Thursday before the first week of school, separating times for primary and secondary, and including/coordinating with PTA
Flip Flops
We agreed as a staff last year that we will not be wearing flip flops to support consistent expectations for students and also reflect a more professional environment. If students are asking why not, it is part of the student handbook expectations in terms of appropriate school attire.
Carson Giving
PACK Leadership supported the recommendation of having one non-profit fundraiser for the year during March Gladness this year. This includes also having November food drive, giving tree, and beautification event in the spring.

CSIP Goals
Miles reviewed the 3 goal areas for Carson CSIP
Data gathering for the CSIP plan implementation for this year will be done via a Survey Monkey that will be sent out to staff identified by individual. This will help us to assure that we are getting all the feedback
Consider assuring that the materials needed are available and reflect the curriculum mapping schedule (i.e. this year we are ready for ReadWell Plus but we don't have the program available)
We are looking for candid feedback
Survey questions will reference back to CSIP goals for Math, Reading, Writing, and 40 Developmental Assets
Crystal requested that a copy of the progressive writing expectations for each grade level be redistributed again (they were distributed last fall)
