Art Show--DARLA
- May 6th (6:30-8:00???)
- All kids have a piece of artwork posted in the halls near the classroom (space will be made inside for 6th grade)
- If need a docent email darla.barkley@comcast.net
- Art docent can get help for matting the projects
- Label needs student name, grade, and teacher name
- The event will have activities for kids
- The week before the show, all kids will be given an invitation to bring home to invite parents to art show
- Teacher artwork is encouraged as part of the show!!!! It can be anything....drawing, pastels, photos, anything even if you did it years ago!
- Miles updated the team on the development process of the new promotion excel form.

- Last year was June 9 in the evening with acknowledgements for AR, student class Citizenship awards, perfect attendance
- When? TBD by K-3 reps next Tuesday
- What grades? Remain K-3
- Specifics? Eliminate Citizenship award; any awards given should be in the classroom; concerns shares about AR awards due to variations in grade level and individual student goals; keep the entire event in the classrooms
- Suggestion for NEXT Year: K-3 Art & Success; 4-6 Art & Success

- Points for books we don't have tests for (YES or NO?)
- Philosophy--AR is intended as a supplemental piece of our literacy work at school (not scored on the report card) but used for part of goal setting score; not every book needs to be an AR book but books are for multiple purposes--enjoyment, real life application; good fit books, books from clubs and organizations
