$Money$ for student A.R. Goals: It was decided that this should not happen.
ELL: Jennifer would like everyone to know that when you are planning your grade level events, please include her so she can reach out to our ELL population. Please use her… use the computers in her classroom… just ask! She would like to be invited/informed. She will decide if she can/can’t help.
Assessment: Patti proposed that we come up with an assessment committee as she is now full-time in the classroom and working as our assessment coordinator. She is hoping for one Sped rep and a grade level rep from grades 3, 4, 5, and 6. She is hoping to have a 1-hr meeting in January and one again before spring break. A schedule will need to be made for spring assessments and given to the district by February… please find a rep from your grade level and let Patti know!
Assemblies this Week:
Monday: 9:45 (cancelled due to snow delay)
Tuesday: 9:00-9:30 AM
Friday: 1:40-2:00 PM
Assembly Seating:
It has been brought up that there is some inconsistency in the seating at our assemblies. It should go pre-k in the front, then 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th. Chairs for 6th grade is not a guarantee, it’s a privilege. Sometimes we will not have enough space and we need to accommodate our visitors first and if the assembly is too short chairs are not needed… Grade levels will be called down for the assemblies-please do not go until your grade is called.
STAT:
It was agreed that if a teacher is gone and can not make the meeting it will be rescheduled to the bottom of the list. If a teacher is gone for an extended reason, the teacher out on leave will be invited to give their input via email or attend the meeting (optional) so their student will not have to go to the bottom of the list.
A.R. Over Break (10 AM – Noon)
Tuesday, December 22nd: ELL Room
Tuesday, December 29th: ELL Room
Outside Afterschool: Chaotic!
We can not control the cars so we’ll need to control the kids. :)
•It has been decided that no students will be allowed on the grass out front. (This will give the students less room to run around, etc.)
•NO bikes should be ridden on campus and NO bikes are allowed in the courtyard area outside of the kindergarten classrooms. (Carson students or junior high students, etc.)
•These things will be discussed in an upcoming school newsletter and if we all could add this to our newsletters that would be great, too.
