Pro Dev-People need to register at the ProDev website for clock hours
Math Night – has been cancelled because the Diversity training is scheduled for that day-Diversity training at Edgerton has been moved to January 11th – Math Night will be moved to March 10th from 5-7– Staff needs to sign up for Diversity training on ProDev website – need 80% of staff involvement
Book Study: Some of K-2 are involved in Teach Like a Champion book study. If other grades are interested in conducting another round, let Andrea know.
Read-a-Thon – Tuesday, January 4th – 5-7 and all reading minutes for that night will be doubled
Writing Professional Development – Grade levels need time to discuss the Lucy Calkins books – would like time to create mini-lessons – would also like to have time to talk to other grade levels to find out what is being taught
Can we put some time in the C/T days? What else would grade levels like to see to help support writing?
We also need time to share the 6-trait binders from the writing committee. All grade levels K-5 will have one.
We need to come up with “Carson’s Culture” as far as teaching writing. What are we committed to do at each grade level?
June Toy Drive – We are going to have a toy fundraiser in June to support Giftmakers. Staff and families will be able to donate. They were completely depleted and served 40% more families this year.
